What to verify before hanging
Confirm that the building is substantially dried-in, standing water has been removed and materials show no visible moisture damage. Coordinate insulation, air barriers and mechanical systems so humid outdoor air is not being pulled into concealed cavities.
During finishing, temperature and humidity affect drying. Joint compound needs stable conditions and adequate time between coats. Rushing the process or operating temporary equipment that adds moisture can lead to delayed drying and an inconsistent finish.
