Florida Drywall History
Family-Owned Since 1987—Because Who Stands Behind the Work Still Matters.
1987 — Florida Drywall was founded
In 1987, at just 19 years old, Dale and Kim Swedberg took a leap of faith and started a business of their own. They didn’t begin with a long list of clients or a well-known name—they began with determination, hard work, and a shared belief in what they could build together.
1990s — Building a reputation
With every handshake, every project, and every promise kept, the Swedbergs earned the trust of builders and built a reputation for quality workmanship. While Dale focused on building in the field, Kim managed the accounting and helped create the strong financial and organizational foundation the growing business needed.
2000s — A growing family business
As the business grew and the company expanded, so did their family, with the arrival of their children, Heather and Jacob. The company became more than a livelihood; it became part of the Swedberg family story. Dale and Kim hired a talented, hardworking team that shared their commitment to quality and service. Together, they created one of the strongest and most respected drywall teams on Florida’s West Coast.
